I'm a floor-care expert and these are the best Prime Day vacuum cleaner deals I recommend for Aussie homes

Missed out on picking up a cheap vacuum cleaner during EOFY? Or were you just holding out? If the latter, then well done, you, because Amazon Prime Day 2026 in Australia is a fantastic opportunity to suck up a whole lotta savings on a powerful vacuum cleaner (pun intended).

That's because Amazon stocks a wide variety of models from major brands, including Dyson and Shark, but let's not forget: there are always excellent robot vacuum cleaner deals too.

Then again, you might not want a stick vacuum or a robovac — perhaps you'd much prefer the traditional barrel kind. You'll find discounts on those too, especially if you're a Miele fan, which I sincerely hope you are as the German brand still makes excellent corded vacuums.

No matter what kind of household you are — pet-friendly, hard floor, mixed floor, full carpet — there's a vacuum that's right for you and I've been tested all kinds for nearly a decade. I've gone through all the Prime Day vacuum cleaner deals on Amazon AU right now and handpicked the best of the best from all the trusted brands, so you know you'll get excellent performance and value from the model you choose.

It would be good for you to be a Prime member as there are exclusive discounts on some models (I've labelled these), which will save you more. If you're a first-time customer, Amazon will give you a 30-day free trial and you can cancel any time.

Best Prime Day 2026 vacuum deals in Australia

Stick vacuum deals

We haven't tried this vacuum ourselves, but user reviews are glowing and there has to be some truth to what people claim about this affordable sucker (pun intended) And this is the cheapest it's ever been, beating its previous all-time low of AU$217, and it's sold out every time it's dropped in price like this.View Deal

Scoring almost five stars in our Shark Detect Pro Cordless vacuum cleaner review, we called this vacuum "a wonder". Versatile, powerful, offering automatic power adjustment and equally good at cleaning hard floors as it is on carpet, this is one of the best vacuums on the market, at a stellar price.View Deal

With powerful and dynamic suction, plenty of attachments and an auto-empty charging dock, this is arguably the best value non-Dyson cordless vacuum right now. Read our review for the full scoop. Often sold around the AU$750 price point, we have seen it as low as AU$608, but this is still a great deal on what is my pick of the best stick vacuum cleaner in Australia. View Deal

If you don't need the latest and greatest machine from the British brand, this is not a bad vacuum cleaner to get. You'll get up to 40 minutes of fade-free power, enough for a small apartment, plus three other attachments besides the Digital Motorbar for versatile cleaning. We have seen it for under AU$340, but this deal isn't too bad. View Deal

Dyson quietly released this model last year, offering a cheaper way to get yourself a wet-and-dry vacuum. It has lesser suction power than the V15s Detect, but we haven't been able to try it for ourselves yet. It also lasts no more than 40 minutes on a single charge. I'd say this would be better suited to smaller homes with hard floors.View Deal

Dyson's original wet-dry cordless stick vacuum is pretty handy to have around the home – you can vacuum first and then follow it up with a mop. I still use it at home and, in my Dyson V15s Detect Submarine review, I found the mopping to be very good indeed, but a design flaw makes some of that dirty water slosh out when you want to clean out the Submarine attachment. If you can find a way around it, this is one could be well worth considering even though I've seen the price drop below the AU$800 mark.View Deal

Robot vacuum deals

To get an all-in-one robot vacuum at this price is fantastic value for money. In fact, this is the lowest price I can remember seeing for this model and I review vacuums regularly, so usually keep tabs on such things. Admittedly it's a slightly older model in Ecovacs' range, but it's still an efficient cleaner of hard floors, with 11,000Pa of suction and a 180-minute run time.View Deal

We haven't tested this Gen 3 model, but it certainly improves on the original significantly, which we have reviewed. We gave the original a strong 4 out of 5 stars, and that was for just a 5,300Pa suction — this gives you a whopping 25,000Pa. So it's a much better vacuum. It's also a better mop, and the base station has also been improved to offer better washing and drying of the pads. I also like the Dreame app more than Ecovacs. In fact, this is plenty of robovac for this price.View Deal

This robovac has some of the best obstacle avoidance we have seen in a robovac and it scored 4 stars in our Dreame X40 Ultra review. Even better, many of the complaints we had at the time (such as the slightly clunky app) have been fixed. View Deal

This is the robovac I would consider buying if I didn't already have a high-end Dreame machine that's been cleaning my home like... a dream. This Roborock is slimlined to crawl under furniture (no navigation puck here), and can raise not just its mop pads, but its side brush to avoid scattering and excessive tangling. Its headline act, however, has to be its cleaning prowess — our Roborock Saros 10R review didn't score 4.5 stars for nothing!View Deal

Wet-dry floor washer deals

If you have only hard floors that need constant mopping, consider getting a wet-dry vacuum like this one instead of a regular cordless vac. This one will suck up any dirt or debris on your floor while it's mopping, so it's saving you time. It can also lie flat to get under low-lying furniture and clean itself with hot water and hot air.View Deal

This Roborock wet-dry vacuum will leave your hard floors sparkling clean thanks to powerful suction and effective cleaning. It can get up close to edges and the whole body can lay completely flat to help get underneath tricky to reach places. It's now at an all-time low price, but read our review to find out why it's still worth it.View Deal

It might cost more than any other wet-dry floor cleaner on this list, but it also offers more in terms of sheer performance. It has more suction to ensure it's able to pick up more dirt particles as it's mopping, and it's able to lie completely flat. It also uses hotter air than any model we've tested to try out the roller mop, practically disinfecting it in the process.View Deal

Upright vacuum deals

Already quite affordable, this corded upright machine features an extendible flexible hose that's fabulous if you need to vacuum stairs — just leave the heavy machine upstairs or downstairs and clean each step as you go. It promises to clean well too, although we haven't tested this at TechRadar, but with 84% of Amazon users giving it 5 stars, it must be doing something well.View Deal

It's a heavy machine but comes with plenty of features to ensure your floors are free of dirt and debris, including the floorhead being able to suck up dust while moving backwards. There are dirt-detect sensors and two brushrolls for the best clean possible, with dynamic suction working as you go along.View Deal

Corded vacuum deals

A newer range from Miele, the Guard series uses active charcoal in its filter to not just eliminate dust and pet hair, but also tackle odours that can build up inside a home. This machine, however, uses a dust bag, so you will need to take into account that it will require emptying and replacing at some point.View Deal

With no need for replacement bags, this Miele is both good-looking and powerful enough to ensure your floors are fur free. Unlike cordless vacuums, you'll get very limited accessories with this vacuum, but they all stow neatly into the body of the machine itself.View Deal

Prime Day 2026 in Australia: sale information

When is Amazon Prime Day 2026 in Australia?

Taking place at the same time it did last year, Amazon's Australian Prime Day 2026 sale kicks off at midnight East Coast time on Tuesday, July 7 and will run for seven days. That means, Prime Day vacuum cleaner deals will end at 11:59pm AEST on Monday, July 13, 2026.

What kind of Prime Day vacuum cleaner deals can I expect?

If you've ever shopped on Amazon, you'll know there's always a plethora of vacuum cleaner deals to choose from. From no-brand cheap options to the big plays like Shark and Dyson, there's something for everyone, but the good news is I've seen upwards of 65% off on various vacuums. In fact, prices have often dropped as much as 71%, but those are rare.

To break this down a little more, I've seen Dyson stick vacuums going for about half price, while Shark offers may not hit that low, but given their already affordable prices, the value you get is exceptional.

You'll also see some excellent discounts on Ecovacs' Deebots and Dreame's top-rated robovacs, but keeps your eyes peeled for offers from Roborock. Admittedly corded barrel and upright vacuums aren't as popular, but some households are well served by them, and there'll be a fair few to choose from Miele and Shark.

Tineco wet-dry floor washers also get massive discounts during Prime Day, which bodes well for those of you who have hard floors all over your homes — these will vacuum and mop at the same time, saving you time, but they are heavy machines.

Dyson vs Shark: which should I buy during Prime Day?

The answer to the Dyson vs Shark debate depends on what exactly you're after. For example, if you want a corded machine, Dyson doesn't make uprights, so you have to opt for a Shark.

However, if you're eyeing a cordless stick vacuum, you can't go wrong with either, although some Dyson vacuums are more powerful than Shark, like the Gen5detect with its 280AW of suction that no Shark offers. The more expensive Dyson's also offer up to 70 minutes of runtime, while most Sharks top out at 60 minutes.

That said, Shark vacuums, even at full price, are cheaper and given their performance, they've consistently been some of the best vacuum cleaners in Australia. That means you get good value from a Shark.

So figure out what your budget is and if power is really important, then decide if you should go with a Shark or a Dyson.

Is a Prime Day robot vacuum deal worth it?

That's a resounding yes from me as Amazon typically has the best discounts on robot vacuums across any Aussie retailer. Others would typically try and match Amazon in this case.

Importantly, the variety of brands selling on Amazon is also quite high — Ecovacs to Roborock, Dreame to Eureka. So if you're keen on a new robovac, definitely check out the offers on Amazon during Prime Day as there are usually some record-low offers available.
